Something I was working on, still not finished. The Living Quaters of Hell. Just the District where the Workers live though... Not the General Population Quaters.

Designs

Just some designs I have been working on for a Self project, It is Inside a Vending Machine.. its got Tardis Properties, (where the inside is bigger than the out). Main Difference is just lighting really, and a bucket. But im still working on this. Its not yet finished, I think its lacking something in the foreground.. maybe a shelf with toilet roll on.

4th Life Drawing Session, Again, it took me ages to warm up. I really need to loosen up quicker. Not concentrate too much, and just draw what I see.

Museum

I am going to try and go to some museums and just draw, just to loosen up a bit.

I ended up going to the Natural History Museum.. lots of skeletons. Unfortunatley not enough seating to just sit down and draw. Only managed to get a couple of drawings done. Too many loud annoying school kids.

Life Drawing Session 3

Well I went to Life Drawing Again, Took me a long time to get into it again. I really need to loosen up earlier. Next time I go I think i will try and do some drawing earlier on in the day so im not so rigid when I start. I dont see too much of an improvement so far, but Rome Wasnt Built in a Day...

I animated this leaf a few weeks ago. Initially this was for a City introduction which I had started to animated. The idea was, that the leaf would fall gracefully down through the city and then get blown away by a car... Cliche' I know. There are a few line errors, but it was initially a test, Like most of my work, I had a thought of animating a leaf, then I tried it, (cheaply) drawing a few images.. eventually I realised I would have to plan it out... So what turned out to be a quick animation on a whim, ended uo being 60+ drawings..

The Journey..

Well, I know the Quest: To have in just under 5 months time a Showreel worthy of getting me into a Masters Course...

The Journey has already started, by going to Life Drawing twice a week, however that is only the start. A Means to an end. To improve ones drawing ability, in order to have a style and skill that will have my showreel being up to scratch.

In order to not fall into a bad habbit, I am going to have to come up with a plausable working timetable that will enable me to complete my Quest. This will include storyboarding, animatics, creative idea sessions as well as life drawing. I am going to approach this very much like a computer game. I have certain attributes, I am going to have to train em up in order to get the best results. I have my Quest, I know Journey, now it's just a question of which path I take to get to the end. (Simply put).

This was only my second time that I had been to Life Drawing. To be truthful, I didn't feel as comfortable drawing this week as i did last. It Took me a long time to get into my drawings. However the journey to Artistic Grace continues..

1st Life Drawing 22.02.10

This is my first post. After this Friday, I will be starting a Journey. A Journey to improve my portfolio and showreel. As well as improving my actual drawing skills.

The Goal - To go out and draw. Life Drawing at least once a week, if not more. To draw, draw and draw some more. To clean up some animations, plan out a story board for my showreel. Create a short film, storyboard it, Animatic it, Animate it. Lots to do, just 5 months to do it... This is where my journey starts...
